Ready to own a brand, shape content with purpose, and contribute directly to M&A decisions?

We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Specialist to take ownership of the Vertus Group brand and support our M&A and internal communications efforts. This role is split between two key focus areas:

  • Leading brand, content, and marketing strategy for Vertus Group Supporting M&A activities with clear, strategic communication and analysis
  • This role is ideal for someone what can think strategically, execute creatively, and translate complexity into clarity – both visually and verbally.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing & Brand Communications - You are the voice and visual engine of Vertus Group. Your goal: build trust, clarity, and brand presence across all touchpoints.

  • Own the Vertus Group brand and ensure it remains strategically aligned with our market and growth objectives.
  • Lead content strategy, storytelling, and execution across digital channels – including website, blog, email, social media, webinars, press releases, and newsletters.
  • Develop high-impact content and creative assets (videos, infographics, presentations, print and digital collateral) to support brand and Business Development initiatives.
  • Monitor and report performance across digital channels, SEO, and web presence.
  • Manage the Content Marketing Intern (Sept – Dec 2025), overseeing content creation, project workflows, and execution.
  • Support portfolio companies with marketing initiatives as needed, with potential for deeper involvement as the role evolves.

M&A & Internal Strategy Communications - You are the communications partner to our Director of M&A and internal stakeholders, ensuring every story told is sharp, clear, and strategic.

  • Support the preparation of Investment Memos – translating financial and operational data into a compelling narrative for internal decision-makers.
  • Assist with sales and marketing due diligence on prospects, including revenue trends, customer segmentation, attrition, and competitive landscapes.
  • Deliver clear, visual insights to guide investment decisions and inform leadership discussions.
  • Contribute to internal presentations and strategic communications related to M&A and portfolio growth.
  • Identify and recommend marketing opportunities for prospective or newly acquired businesses to support post-acquisition success.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related discipline (required)
  • MBA or equivalent business education/experience is considered a strong asset.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand strategy roles, preferably within B2B or corporate environments.
  • Proven ability to lead content strategy and execution across multiple channels.
  • Experience development marketing assets and collateral – from campaign concepts to executive presentations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for different audiences.
  • Demonstrated experiences collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, business development, or M&A.
  • Comfortable using CMS platforms, email automation tools, and basic design/video editing tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Suite, or equivalent).
  • Strong grasp on digital marketing performance metrics and SEO fundamentals.
  • High attention to detail, project management skills, and ability to execute independently and on deadlines.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with creative execution, and shift between long-term planning and hands-on production as needed.
