Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on, and detail-oriented Inventory and Production Coordinator to oversee all inventory operations across our warehouse, production department, and finished goods storage. As a dried flower company, our inventory includes locally grown flowers, imported botanicals, production supplies, packaging materials, and finished arrangements.

This role is critical to maintaining accurate stock levels, minimizing shrinkage, ensuring smooth production flow, and supporting on-time order fulfillment in a fast-paced, seasonal environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and comfortable working both on the floor and within inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Control & Accuracy

  • Monitor stock levels to ensure materials are available to support production schedules and sales forecasts.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate, reconcile, and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to reduce shrinkage, damage, and obsolescence.

Receiving & Storage

  • Oversee receiving of local and imported shipments, ensuring accurate counts and quality checks upon arrival.
  • Verify purchase orders against received goods and report any discrepancies to purchasing.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of products, including FIFO practices where applicable.
  • Maintain organized warehouse and storage areas to maximize space utilization and workflow efficiency.

Production & Cross-Department Coordination

  • Work closely with production teams to ensure timely allocation of materials for dyeing, assembly, and packaging.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and shipping departments to ensure finished goods inventory aligns with customer orders and fulfillment timelines.
  • Communicate low stock levels, backorders, and material shortages to management and purchasing.

Systems & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the company’s ERP/inventory management system.
  • Generate regular inventory reports for management (stock levels, turnover, variances, aging inventory).
  • Analyze inventory trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist in forecasting and planning for seasonal demand fluctuations.
  • Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Develop and refine inventory procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and warehouse best practices.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces in accordance with operational guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain management.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems required; experience with Excel for reporting and analysis preferred.
  • Forklift certification required (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes and materials throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with dried flowers, natural botanicals, dust, heat (from production processes), and varying warehouse conditions.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
