We provide essential health and safety products, training, and consulting services across various sectors in Northern Ontario, aiming to eliminate work-related injuries, illnesses, and fatalities.

Job Overview

As a Marketing Communications Specialist you will contribute to strategic communications projects (digital, social, print, events) that connect and engage with our internal and external audiences, advancing WSN’s brand and reach. You execute projects and events from concept to completion, proactively introducing new tools and methods to support knowledge promotion.

You drive creative strategies that promote WSN programs, products, and services through compelling messaging and educational events, using emerging technologies, print, and multi/social media. You also assume a key role in event planning and logistics.

Duties

  • Researching, writing, and editing corporate content.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders in the development of content and the planning of educational events (for example, conferences).
  • Ensuring consistent key messaging and standards are applied throughout all communication channels and in assisting external clients.

Skills

  • Expert communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to build relationships.
  • Excellent proofreading and editing skills
  • Exceptional project planning and implementation skills with the ability to handle a high volume of work, multiple projects, and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to convert research and technical material into clear and concise written output.
  • Experience in dealing with and handling the media.
  • Photography skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and collaborate with both internal resources and external suppliers.
  • Self-motivated, creative and innovative; accountable for seeing projects through to completion.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Pay: $64,842.00-$80,947.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in North Bay, ON
