Full job description

CA$70,000-CA$100,000 a year
Full-time, long-term contract position
Home-based in British Columbia

KORQ Events Inc., producer of the West Coast Women's Show and West Coast Family Show, is looking for an experienced inside salesperson to sell exhibit space, sponsorships and related marketing opportunities.

The representative will take ownership of an established exhibitor portfolio and work with returning exhibitors, inbound enquiries and new prospects across a wide range of consumer categories.

This is not a build-from-zero sales position. KORQ provides an existing customer base, extensive prospect data, published pricing, sales materials, floor plans, CRM access and administrative support.

The position is home-based, but applicants must live in British Columbia, work during Pacific Time business hours and attend the shows at TRADEX in Abbotsford from November 20 to 22, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Sell exhibit space, sponsorships and approved marketing opportunities
  • Manage returning exhibitors, inbound leads and prospective accounts
  • Develop new business through consistent telephone and email prospecting
  • Make approximately 40 to 50 outbound calls per day during active prospecting periods
  • Maintain an active pipeline and accurate records in HubSpot
  • Recommend suitable booth and participation options
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and existing exhibitors
  • Assist with deposit and outstanding-balance follow-up
  • Attend relevant consumer and trade events for prospecting
  • Attend move-in and all three show days at TRADEX

Final exhibitor approval, booth placement, invoicing and contract administration are handled by Show Management.

Compensation

Compensation is commission-based and uncapped.

  • 15% commission on eligible exhibit-space sales
  • 25% commission on approved sponsorship and marketing packages
  • Initial recoverable draw of CA$3,000 to CA$4,000 per month
  • Additional bonus based on total show revenue
  • Reimbursement of approved business expenses

The monthly draw is an advance against commission. Expected earnings for a productive representative are approximately CA$70,000 to CA$100,000 during a full sales year. Actual earnings depend on credited sales.

Experience

Applicants should have at least three years of successful experience in inside sales, telephone sales, B2B new-business development, advertising, media, sponsorship, events or a comparable field.

You should be able to demonstrate:

  • A record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong outbound telephone-sales experience
  • Consistent follow-up and pipeline management
  • Experience managing both new and existing accounts
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Experience using CRM software

Experience selling exhibit space, sponsorships, advertising or event participation is preferred but not required.

This position requires a full-time working commitment during Pacific Time business hours. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to attend the November shows in Abbotsford. Occasional travel to relevant events in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley may also be required.

KORQ is looking for someone who wants to remain in the role from year to year and build lasting relationships with the exhibitor portfolio.

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Work from home

Application question(s):

  • Can you work full-time during Pacific Time business hours and attend move-in and all three show days at TRADEX in Abbotsford?
  • In your most recent sales role, approximately how many outbound calls did you make per day, and how much of your business came from new outbound prospecting?
  • Are you comfortable with a commission-based compensation structure that includes a recoverable monthly draw against future commission?
  • This position requires a full-time working commitment. Are you able to make this your primary business activity during Pacific Time working hours?

Work Location: Hybrid remote in British Columbia
