Seasonal Soybean Plant Technician Job Description

Sevita International is looking for Seasonal Soybean processing technician for our Inkerman soybean seed processing and treatment facility. This individuals will report directly to the Site Manager who oversees the daily activities on site.

This position will report to the Site Manager and will be based out of the Sevita Plant Office at 11791 Sandy Row, Inkerman, ON.

In this role you will:

- Work in the Seed and or IP Plant

- Operate grain cleaner

- Operate seed treater

- Package beans and seed (into bags, totes, and bulk containers)

- Unload grain trucks and wagons into the elevator during harvest time as needed

- Drive and operate straightforward plant equipment and machinery, such as tractors, augers, forklifts, and/or shunt trucks

- Maintain and adjust straightforward equipment and/or machinery

- Maintain grain elevator, grounds, warehouse and premises, including yard work

- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment

- Climb ladders and work at heights

- Participate in silo cleanouts to sweep, shovel, grain vacuum the silo empty

- Other duties as assigned

What you bring to the table:

- Physically fit and able to climb heights and work at heights.

- Ability to lift 50lbs, Willingness to follow Sevita’s Health & Safety Program.

- Ability to follow Sevita’s SOPs, HACCP, and customer specific requirements/instructions.

- Adhere to Sevita’s Quality Assurance Program

- Comfortable with computer/digital technology

- A general knowledge and skills required to safely operate straightforward plant equipment, and/or machinery

- Full G driver's license

- Conversational English skills, with the ability to follow posted safety rules and safe operating procedures; comprehend simple instructions

- Available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Season – Now – December 2026, with possibility of Full-Time employment after season.

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
