Full job description
Immigration Case Manager, Winnipeg (in office)
CA$55,000 to CA$65,000 per year, based on experience. Full-time, permanent. Benefits package.
About Verge Immigration Services
Verge Immigration Services Inc. is a licensed RCIC consultancy in downtown Winnipeg, rated 4.9 on Google from 468+ reviews and named the #1 rated immigration consultant in Winnipeg in 2025. We handle work permits, PGWP, study permits, permanent residence (Express Entry and PNPs), sponsorship, and refused and complex cases. Every file is overseen by Jatinder Singh, RCIC.
About the role
We're hiring a senior Case Manager to own our files from retainer to decision. You'll run the deadline tracker, lead our case workers, and make sure every file that reaches the RCIC is complete and correct. This is not an advisory role: the RCIC advises, signs and submits. We want to hire within one week.
What you'll do
- Own every active file's status in one master tracker; assign files and balance case worker workload
- Track all critical deadlines (status expiry, PGWP windows, biometrics, medicals, ADR/PFL responses, ITAs) and escalate early
- Issue document checklists, chase missing documents, and quality-check files before RCIC review
- Prepare IRCC applications: work permits, PGWP, study permits, visitor/super visa, Express Entry, PNP and spousal sponsorship
- Work in the IRCC portal, Representative portal, PR portal and MPNP Online
- Order GCMS notes and draft first versions of LOEs and submission letters for RCIC review
- Monitor IRCC correspondence daily and log every request and decision
- Train and review the work of our case workers; maintain program checklists and templates
What you need
- 2-4 years preparing Canadian immigration files at an RCIC or immigration law firm
- Hands-on experience with work permits/PGWP, study permits, at least one PR stream, and refusal-related work (ADR, PFL or reapplications)
- Works independently in the IRCC, Representative and PR portals
- Excellent written English: you can draft a clear, structured letter
- Proven ability to manage 30+ active files with zero missed deadlines
- Experience training or reviewing other people's work
- Legally entitled to work in Canada; able to pass a police check
- On-site at our downtown Winnipeg office (330 St. Mary Ave). This is not a remote or hybrid role.
Nice to have
- Immigration Consultant diploma or certificate
- MPNP, other PNP, or LMIA/Job Bank experience
This role is not for RCICs looking to practise or build their own client base.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional Saturday mornings.
How to apply
Apply through Indeed, or email your resume and a short cover letter to Jatinder.Singh@vergeimmigration.ca with the subject line "Case Manager Application". Tell us which immigration applications you have personally prepared from start to finish. Answer every screening question; we read them. Shortlisted candidates will complete a short written exercise and a portal walkthrough.
Verge Immigration Services Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and will provide accommodation during the hiring process on request.
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Extended health care
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Winnipeg, MB R3C 3Z5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Application question(s):
- Which of these applications have you personally prepared and submitted? List all that apply: work permit, study permit, visitor record or extension, Super Visa, Express Entry, provincial nominee, spousal or family sponsorship, citizenship.
- Briefly describe one refused or complex file you worked on: what the issue was, what you did, and how it turned out.
- Which IRCC portals have you worked in (IRCC Portal, PR Portal, Employer Portal, Authorized Representative Portal), and which case management software have you used?
- How many active files have you managed at one time, and have you ever missed an IRCC deadline (ADR, PFL, status expiry)? Be specific and honest.
- This role does not give immigration advice and is not a path to practising independently. Do you hold an RCIC licence, or plan to practise as an RCIC in the next 2 years? Answer yes or no and explain.
- We are hiring within one week. Can you start within 2 weeks of an offer, on-site at 330 St. Mary Ave, Winnipeg? If not, give your earliest start date.
