The Job

Great service is about more than taking orders and delivering meals — it’s about creating an experience guests want to come back to.

As a Server, you’ll be part of a fast-paced, people-focused environment where no two shifts are quite the same. From welcoming guests and sharing menu recommendations to celebrating special occasions and creating memorable moments, you’ll play an important role in making every dining experience a great one.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional approach while delivering service that reflects our brand standards.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders while sharing daily features, specials, and menu recommendations.
  • Use your knowledge of the menu to help guests find something they’ll love and enhance their overall dining experience.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally while checking in throughout the meal to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Build your knowledge of our menu, restaurant, hotel amenities, promotions, and services so you can confidently answer guest questions.
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently to keep the dining room clean, organized, and ready to welcome the next guests.
  • Process guest checks and payments accurately in accordance with hotel procedures.
  • Keep assigned stations, service areas, and equipment clean, stocked, organized, and ready for service.
  • Work closely with fellow Servers, Hosts, Bartenders, Culinary team members, and leadership to keep service running smoothly.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, occupational health and safety standards, provincial liquor laws, and responsible alcohol service policies.
  • Jump in and support the team wherever needed — because great service is always a team effort!

  • Someone who can stay organized, manage reservations, and coordinate the flow of the dining room during busy service periods.
  • A calm and composed team member who can manage wait times, guest requests, and changing priorities with professionalism.
  • A natural multitasker who can move between greeting guests, answering calls, preparing orders, delivering room service, and supporting the service team.
  • A detail-oriented person who can accurately enter orders, process payments, and communicate special requests.
  • Someone who enjoys staying active and is comfortable being on their feet throughout the shift.
  • A collaborative team player who is happy to clear tables, collect dishes, and jump in wherever support is needed.
  • A reliable and polished individual who consistently represents AquaTerra and the hotel’s service standards.
  • Previous restaurant, hospitality, hosting, or customer-service experience is an asset, but we are happy to train the right person.
  • Experience using a point-of-sale system or reservation platform is an asset.
  • Smart Serve certification is required if the position involves handling or serving alcohol.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
