Job Summary

EFV002 Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal system performance, security, reliability, and scalability across all business operations.

This role is ideal for a technology professional who enjoys solving complex technical issues, improving infrastructure performance, and supporting end users in a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, maintain, and support Windows and/or Linux server environments
  • Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and cloud-based systems
  • Monitor network performance, security, backups, and system availability
  • Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot hardware, software, workstations, and peripheral devices
  • Perform regular system updates, patch management, and security maintenance
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint protection, access controls, and data security practices
  • Respond to help desk requests and provide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures
  • Document IT infrastructure, configurations, and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on technical projects and upgrades
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees from an IT systems perspective
  • Recommend infrastructure improvements and technology solutions to increase operational efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure support
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
  • Familiarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, firewalls, switches, VLANs, and VPNs
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint security tools
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple technical issues simultaneously

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell
  • Familiarity with backup and monitoring solutions
  • Understanding of compliance and data protection standards
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, Microsoft Certified, Azure Administrator, or similar certifications are considered an asset
