Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and kitchen experience, and a passion for food excellence. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a talented team within a vibrant hospitality environment.

Duties

  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and high performance
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards
  • Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating current culinary trends and customer preferences
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs to optimize kitchen operations
  • Train and mentor team members in culinary techniques, food safety, and service standards
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless serving of dishes and excellent customer satisfaction
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment in accordance with health codes
  • Lead by example in fostering a positive, professional work environment that promotes teamwork and hospitality excellence

Skills

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Extensive food preparation, cooking, and food service expertise
  • Strong team management and leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate staff
  • Solid understanding of restaurant management principles including inventory control and cost management
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff
