Full job description

Howson & Howson Limited is a long-established Canadian flour milling company owned and operated by the Howson family since 1875. Our primary objective is to manufacture a safe product of consistent quality that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations. We remain firm on the desire to be an industry leader with development of new products to meet the changing needs of the consumer.

Howson & Howson Limited seeking a reliable individual to become an integral part of our team as Mill Staff / Packer on a rotating shift in Blyth, ON.

What you will be doing:

  • Packing Flour into 20 kg, 50 lbs and Bulk Tote bags. This involves repetitive lifting, operation of forklift.
  • Loading Bulk Trailers. Involves working at moderate heights and climbing ladders.
  • Product testing. Granulation, Protein.
  • Sanitation duties. Involves working at heights, climbing ladders, working in small areas.
  • Maintenance duties.
  • Paper work as require when performing above duties.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Able to work on rotating shift.
  • Able to spend most of the shift on feet.

  • Able to follow verbal and written direction.
  • Proficient Math skills.
  • Good organization, time management and prioritizing skills.
