Job Summary

We’re looking for a Licensed Hairstylist to join our team at First Choice Haircutters!

At First Choice, we provide a range of hair services and see a wide variety of clients, so no two days are exactly the same. We’re looking for someone who is confident behind the chair, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in making their clients look and feel their best.

We’re a team environment, so having a good attitude, being reliable, and being willing to help out and work together is important to us.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a range of professional hair services, including cuts, colour, styling, and other salon services
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service
  • Listen to clients and make recommendations based on their needs
  • Keep your station clean and follow all salon sanitation standards
  • Recommend retail products when appropriate
  • Help with front desk duties when needed, including greeting clients and answering phones
  • Keep up with new trends, techniques, and product knowledge
  • Work as part of a team and contribute to a positive salon environment

Experience & Qualifications

  • Valid hairstylist license is required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a salon as a hairstylist
  • Comfortable providing a range of hair services
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Positive attitude and friendly personality
  • Reliable and professional
  • Comfortable working in a busy salon
  • Willing to learn and continue building your skills
  • Retail or sales experience is an asset
