Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and talented Licensed Hairstylist to join our vibrant salon team! In this dynamic role, you will deliver exceptional hair styling services, create personalized looks, and ensure every client leaves feeling confident and beautiful. Your expertise in hair cutting, coloring, and styling will be complemented by your enthusiasm for providing outstanding customer service. Duties

  • Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, color treatments, blowouts, and special occasion styles with precision and creativity
  • Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable styles, and explain aftercare instructions
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work station in accordance with health regulations and salon standards
  • Upsell retail hair care products by educating clients on their benefits and suitable options for their hair type
  • Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling payments efficiently
  • Build strong client relationships through excellent communication skills, ensuring repeat business and positive reviews
  • Stay current with industry trends and techniques by participating in ongoing education and training opportunities

Requirements

  • Valid provincial license as a Hairstylist or Cosmetologist with active licensing credentials
  • Proven experience in hair styling, coloring, and customer service within a salon setting
  • Strong communication skills to effectively understand client needs and provide professional advice
  • Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
  • Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining a friendly approach
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing appointments and maintaining a tidy work area
  • Prior experience at the front desk or in retail sales is a plus but not required
