About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operational upkeep of two commercial properties located in Maple Ridge and Coquitlam. You will play a vital part in ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for tenants and visitors alike.

The ideal candidate brings a solid mechanical background, hands-on experience with a broad range of building systems, and a proactive approach to both scheduled and reactive maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your technical expertise within a supportive and dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain a Preventative Maintenance Plan, ensuring all scheduled tasks are completed on time and resources are used efficiently.
  • Respond to and complete unscheduled repairs across HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, electrical, elevating devices, roofing, and life safety systems.
  • Perform general maintenance including painting, minor drywall and concrete repairs, sanding, caulking, and overall property housekeeping (sweeping, litter pick-up, pressure washing, window washing).
  • Conduct snow removal and seasonal property upkeep as required.
  • Assist with waste management, recycling, and the proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Coordinate and work alongside sub-trades for specialized repairs and projects.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency call-outs as needed.
  • Address tenant service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in the company’s occupational health and safety program and uphold the highest standards of workplace safety.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of direct experience in building operations or a related maintenance role is an asset; however, candidates with equivalent practical skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance equipment.
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of the role, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid BC driver’s license required; access to a reliable vehicle is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, tenant-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and respond calmly under pressure.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
