What You’ll Do

As a Truck Driver, you’ll operate tractor-trailers to move freight safely and efficiently between terminals, yards, customer sites, and work locations. You’ll play a key role in keeping freight moving on time while representing GT Group with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations over local and long-distance routes
  • Pick up, transport, and deliver freight on schedule
  • Drop, hook, spot, and interchange equipment as needed
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain driver logs and required transport documentation
  • Ensure cargo is secure and properly handled
  • Assist with loading and unloading when required
  • Follow all Transport Canada Hours of Service regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
  • Perform related duties as assigned

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license
  • 3–5 years of verified Class 1 driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • FAST card or ability to obtain one
  • Valid passport and eligibility for U.S. entry for short trips
  • Hazmat endorsement

Skills & Strengths

  • Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Mechanical awareness and ability to perform basic truck checks
  • Strong spatial awareness, coordination, and reaction time
  • Ability to lift/push 50+ lbs
  • Customer-focused, dependable, and organized
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bilingual (English/French) (USA border crossings);
