Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Health and Safety Advisor to lead our safety initiatives within the construction sector. This role is vital in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all personnel on-site, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction experience, excellent leadership skills, and proficiency with construction management software. This position offers an opportunity to influence safety culture and implement best practices across multiple projects.

Duties

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive health and safety policies tailored to construction sites.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Lead safety training sessions for staff and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations.
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant legal requirements.
  • Utilize construction management software to track safety metrics, document inspections, and manage incident reports.
  • Provide expert guidance on construction site safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Stay updated on industry developments related to health and safety standards in construction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction health and safety management, with a solid understanding of construction processes.
  • Familiarity with construction management software for tracking safety data and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively train teams and influence safety culture.
  • Ability to conduct thorough investigations and analyze incident data critically.
  • Certification in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing preventative measures.

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
