About the role:

EVR is looking for motivated and experienced individuals to contribute to the 2026 exploration drilling projects to be based at one of EVR’s Mine Operations or Projects in the Sparwood and Elkford, BC area.

To be successful, we are looking for someone who can drive results, with a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement. We require someone who is results oriented with excellent organizational, planning, management, and decision-making skills as well as excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.

This role will combine the highest standards in environment, health & safety and community relations coupled with strong technical background, contributing to exploration and geoscience programs that are planned, resourced, and executed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner consistent with EVR’s priorities, culture, and values. A significant field contractor management component is also expected within the role. The position(s) are available on a 3-5 month defined term and employment will range from August to December 2026.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Actively seek opportunities to recognize health and safety hazards, resolve safety issues and work to mitigate associated risks in the workplace
  • Ensure the safe, productive, and cost-effective delivery of EVR’s exploration and drill programs, via:
  • Assisting mine geologists with drill program planning, preparation, and logistics prior to contractor arrival on-site
  • Providing on-site project coordination and field supervision for drill site earthworks, drilling and sample activities, and geophysical wireline logging
  • Undertaking pro-active contractor management and supervision of field activities by ensuring a daily presence in the project area
  • Completing daily cost, productivity, and project status reporting
  • Acting as primary liaison between multiple Contractors and EVR representatives in Mine Operations, Engineering & Geology, Health & Safety, and Contractor Compliance teams
  • Collection and storage of drilling and sampling data from drilling projects in EVR’s geological database, including but not limited to drillhole metadata, sample analytical results, downhole geophysics, core logging, and field mapping
  • Monitor field activities to ensure that EVR drilling & sampling activity is completed in compliance with established standards; proactively identify gaps or improvement opportunities
  • Contributing to the preparation of program close-out and other technical reports
  • Encouraging a culture of teamwork between all stakeholders by promoting collaboration and open communications

Requirements:

  • B.Sc. in Geology or a related discipline and hold or qualify for Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) or Geoscientist-in-Training (G.I.T.) status with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC). Eligibility to work in Canada is required
  • A minimum of 3 years of geoscience experience, including exposure to mineral exploration with Reverse Circulation (RC), Diamond coring, and/or Sonic drilling methods in greenfields and/or brownfields environments
  • H2S Alive, BC Mine Supervisor, and First Aid certifications are required for the role. If the candidate does not hold these certifications they may be obtained at time of onboarding
  • Specific experience in geologic mapping, core logging, geochemical and geophysical applications is an asset
  • Working knowledge of acQuire™ and/or MineSight® software packages is preferable
  • Specific experience of working on Coal and/or Sedimentary Basin geology is an asset
  • Results oriented with excellent organizational, planning, management, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent

Salary: 101,400 CAD/ year

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
