Electronics Technician

Location: Carrefour Angrignon, LaSalle (Montreal, QC)
Company: JeuXP

JeuXP is an interactive entertainment center in Montreal that designs, programs, and builds its own games. Inspired by video games, our immersive challenges combine technology, electronics, and real-world action to create a unique experience where players don't just play the game—they live it.

We're looking for an Electronics Technician who enjoys both repairing and creating electronic systems. You'll work directly with the founders to bring new game ideas to life while helping maintain and improve our existing attractions.

If you're passionate about electronics, enjoy building things with your hands, and want to work on projects unlike anything else, we'd love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair the electronic systems used in our interactive games.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to keep our games operating at their best.
  • Improve existing electronic systems to increase reliability, durability, and performance.
  • Design, assemble, and test new electronic systems for future JeuXP games.
  • Collaborate with the founders to develop new game concepts and prototypes.
  • Integrate electronic components into the physical structures of our games.
  • Build, test, troubleshoot, and validate new prototypes.
  • Document modifications and newly developed systems.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about electronics and enjoys solving technical challenges.
  • Is curious, resourceful, and eager to learn.
  • Enjoys troubleshooting and finding creative solutions.
  • Is hands-on and comfortable using hand and power tools.
  • Is comfortable with basic construction tasks such as drilling, cutting, fastening, and assembling.
  • Can neatly and safely integrate electronic components into physical structures.
  • Enjoys working both at an electronics workbench and directly inside our games.
  • Works well independently while also being a strong team player.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of electronics.
  • Education, experience, or a strong interest in electronics.
  • Ability to use—or quickly learn—electronic diagnostic and testing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.

Students, junior, and intermediate candidates are encouraged to apply. We value motivation, curiosity, and a willingness to learn more than years of experience.

Nice to Have

Experience with one or more of the following is considered an asset:

  • Arduino
  • ESP32
  • Raspberry Pi
  • Microcontrollers
  • Electronic soldering
  • 3D printing
  • Sensors and actuators
  • Relays, LEDs, power supplies, switches, and electronic interfaces
  • Basic programming (Python, C/C++, etc.)

Training

Comprehensive training will be provided on our technologies, development process, and electronic systems.

Employment Type

Full-time or Part-time

We're flexible! Whether you're looking for a full-time career or a part-time position while studying, we'd love to hear from you.

Salary

Competitive salary based on experience.
