Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bakery Assistant to contribute to the daily operations of our Bakery - Sugar Me Cookie. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about baking, team leadership, and providing exceptional customer service. The Bakery Assistant will ensure high-quality products, efficient workflow, and add to our positive work environment. They will be in frequent communication with the owner, bakers and Operations Manager.

*Must be under the age of 30 in order to qualify for Canada Summer Jobs Grant*

Duties

  • Prepare certain baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
  • Fill out weekly inventory sheets
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow and timely service.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking special orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Operate the Square Point of Sales system - Processing transactions.
  • Ensure all product is fresh
  • Package product and label so it's ready for sale.
  • Take orders, and answer phone.
  • Support our Content Creator with displaying goods for advertizing

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in restaurant or cafe preferred
  • Customer Service skills is a must!
  • Self-starter (has initiative and pace)
  • Enjoy's the sweeter things in life :) We like to work hard and have fun!
