About the role:
Greenergy Fuels Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced Terminal Manager to lead the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our fuel distribution terminal in Belledune, NB. This role is responsible for overseeing all terminal operations including inventory management, rail and truck logistics, maintenance execution, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.
The Terminal Manager will ensure operational excellence while maintaining a strong safety culture, optimizing asset performance, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position also plays a key role in vendor management, continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting capital and maintenance projects across the terminal.
Key Activities:
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure a safe working environment at all times
- Conduct regular safety audits, participate in safety meetings, and promote ongoing safety training
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and government regulations
Terminal Operations
- Oversee all day-to-day terminal operations including:
- Ship, Rail and truck product receipt and offloading
- Inventory management and reconciliation
- Tank inventory optimization to meet business demands
- Coordination of inbound and outbound logistics
- Monitor operating conditions to maximize reliability, efficiency, and throughput
- Lead start-up and shutdown activities of terminal and rail yard equipment
- Respond decisively to operational issues, emergencies, and equipment failures
Maintenance & Asset Management
- Plan and oversee maintenance activities to ensure asset integrity and reliability
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and identify repair or improvement opportunities
- Support scope development and execution of maintenance and capital projects
- Coordinate contractors and vendors performing onsite work
Financial & Performance Management
- Manage terminal operating budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
- Oversee purchasing activities and vendor contracts
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Prepare operational and financial reports (weekly, monthly, annual)
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop terminal staff
- Ensure team alignment with company goals, procedures, and performance expectations
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance work environment
- Support hiring, training, and ongoing development of personnel
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain clear, consistent, and transparent communication with internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders
- Provide regular operational updates, performance reports, and key risk communications to senior management and relevant stakeholders
- Ensure effective day-to-day communication with terminal staff, including shift handovers, safety briefings, and operational priorities
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders including customers, vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies
- Proactively communicate operational changes, disruptions, and improvement initiatives to all impacted parties
- Foster open communication within the team, encouraging feedback, continuous improvement, and strong engagement
Customer & Stakeholder Relations
- Deliver high levels of customer service and maintain strong client relationships
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and customer complaints
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities
- Represent Greenergy in local industry, community, and government engagements
Continuous Improvement & Strategy
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, safety, and service delivery
- Recommend and implement process, policy, and scheduling improvements
- Participate in cross-site collaboration and share best practices
- Support business growth initiatives and new opportunities within the region
Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in terminal, bulk fuel, or industrial operations
- 3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Civil, or related field)
- Professional designation (P.Eng., CET, or Power Engineer) is an asset
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation aptitude
Preferred Experience
- Bulk fuel, chemicals, or oil & gas terminal operations
- Rail yard operations experience
- Maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Safety certifications (TDG, First Aid)
- CROR certification

- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- High level of accountability, ownership, and decision-making ability
- Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven ability to manage customer relationships and deliver service excellence
