Canadian Home Living is coming to Edmonton.

We are seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial, and results-driven Store Manager to lead the launch and growth of our newest showroom. This is more than a management position—it is an opportunity to help build a new retail destination, create an exceptional team culture, and play a key role in establishing Canadian Home Living as one of Edmonton’s leading furniture and home furnishings retailers.

The successful candidate will be a proven retail leader with strong sales management experience, a passion for furniture, design, and customer service, and the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.

What You'll Do :

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing sales and design team.
  • Create a culture focused on customer experience, accountability, and results.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Lead by example through active involvement on the sales floor.
  • Maintain a High Standards in Excellence in all that you do.

Sales & Business Growth

  • Drive store sales performance and profitability.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to exceed monthly and annual targets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including traffic, closing ratios, average sale, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build relationships with customers, designers, builders, and local businesses.
  • Identify opportunities to grow market share within Edmonton and surrounding communities.

Store Operations

  • Oversee all daily store operations including sales, inventory management, merchandising, customer service, and administration.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, payroll, and operational reporting.
  • Maintain high standards of showroom presentation and visual merchandising.
  • Manage inventory and purchasing decisions in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Partner with marketing to execute local promotions, events, and campaigns.
  • Represent Canadian Home Living within the community.
  • Help drive awareness and traffic through partnerships, networking, and local engagement opportunities.

What We're Looking For Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of retail management experience.
  • Furniture, home furnishings, interior design, appliance, flooring, or home improvement experience is preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience recruiting, training, and developing successful teams.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of retail operations.
  • Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and sales reporting.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passion for furniture, design, home décor, and creating beautiful spaces.

Compensation & Incentives

Base Salary

$65,000 – $80,000

Performance Incentives

In addition to salary, this position offers significant bonus opportunities based on:

Total Compensation Opportunity

$100,000 – $130,000+ annually
