Company Overview

Forest Ridge began as a family run landscape design, installation, and maintenance company for over 25 years. We have since amalgamated with a nationwide company called Urban Life Solutions. We have divisions spanning from Ontario all the way to Alberta. Our division covers a variety of contracts throughout GTA and surrounding areas, with commercial and residential landscaping projects including hardscaping, softscaping, grading, retaining walls, planting, and sodding. We offer year-round work, including winter maintenance operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily site operations and lead construction crews.
  • Coordinate landscape construction projects and ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Oversee concrete paving, site furnishings, planting, aggregate installations, and hardscape construction .
  • Read and interpret site plans, layouts, grades, and construction drawings.
  • Schedule and allocate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress, quality control, and safety compliance.
  • Identify construction issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Communicate with project managers, clients, suppliers, and crew members.
  • Conduct site inspections and maintain project documentation.
  • Train, mentor, and support crew performance and development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 -10 years of experience in landscape construction, hardscaping, or related construction fields as a supervisor .
  • Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience operating landscape construction equipment such as skid steers, compactors, mini loaders, and sidewalk tractors.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, site safety practices, and quality standards.
  • Ability to lead crews, work independently, and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Essential Requirements

  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision while directing and supporting crew members.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.
  • Load, unload, and move materials efficiently around the job site.
  • Perform daily site setup, organization, and cleanup.
  • Monitor equipment condition and report or coordinate repairs as required.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and project specifications.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and enforce best practices throughout all phases of construction.
