The Role:

As an attendant in our food and beverage outlets, you will be instrumental in providing the highest quality of service to our guests by working alongside and supporting the front-of-house service team. Reporting to the Restaurant leadership team, the primary responsibilities are greeting and seating guests, answering the restaurant reservations line, running food and drinks, clearing tables, setting tables, and replenishing buffet lines and service stations. You may also work in-room dining serving shifts, where you will be responsible to take food orders from guest rooms, prepare the room service tray, and deliver orders to our guest rooms and take payment.

Job Duties:

  • Creates a warm and inviting first impression to guests of the Outlets as well as a farewell that is thankful and invites a return.
  • Assigns sections to servers.
  • Monitors and controls the flow of guests into the Outlets and each server's section.
  • Take dining reservations and maintain the integrity of the reservation book.
  • Seats guests according to established standards and operating procedures including ensuring guest name usage.
  • Maintains the entrance of the restaurant including host stand, and surrounding areas.
  • Assists in preparing tables for new guests.
  • Provide information about the restaurant, hotel and surrounding area to guests.
  • Maintain a team focused, positive and productive relationship with all co-workers.
  • All other duties as may be required from time to time to ensure a high level of service and operational excellence are achieved at all time

Physical Demands:

  • Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift within the restaurant and adjacent service areas.
  • Carrying and lifting trays, glassware, and small service equipment, typically up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and stooping to set tables, clear tables, clear dishes and stock lounge area and maintain service stations.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on business levels.

Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for excellent guest service.
  • Excellent grooming and professional presentation
  • Well organized during both slow and busy periods.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food and beverage operations including dining reservations.
  • Self-motivated. Excellent communication skills, fluency in English (other languages considered and asset).
