Full job description

Rydel Roofing is looking for 4-6 experienced Commercial Flat Roofers to join our team in Halifax. We’re seeking reliable, safety-minded individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and work well with others. These are year- round, Full-Time positions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, remove, and replace commercial flat roofing systems, including Modified Bitumen, TPO, and PVC.
  • Work under the direction of a foreman to complete roofing projects safely and efficiently.
  • Set up and clean up job sites, including preparing materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Operate and maintain roofing tools and equipment.
  • Provide guidance and support to roofing labourers as needed.
  • Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2–5 years of commercial flat roofing experience.
  • Experience working with Modified Bitumen, TPO, and PVC roofing systems.
  • Must be able to demonstrate competent torch skills.
  • Valid Fall Protection certification.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying roofing materials, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Availability to work 40–50 hours per week, with occasional weekend work.
  • Soprema and/or IKO certifications are an asset.
  • Spanish language skills are an asset but are not required.

  • $32–$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
