Full job description

Service Manager or Experienced Fixed Operations Leader

This isn't a role for someone who wants to keep the lights on and maintain the Status Quo. It's for someone who wants to build something exceptional.

Cambridge Ford is looking for a Service Manager or experienced leader with senior fixed operations experience who knows that a great service department is the heartbeat of a dealership.

We've built a solid foundation. Our facility features 18 service bays, an eight-vehicle drive-through, modern equipment, a loyal customer base, and an experienced team that deserves strong leadership. We've also made a significant commitment to growing our commercial truck and fleet business.

Now we're looking for the person who can bring it all together and take it to the next level!

We're not searching for someone to simply manage the day-to-day. We're looking for someone who enjoys coaching people, improving processes, holding high standards, and creating a culture where customers return because they like and trust us because employees are proud to work here.

What You'll Be Responsible For

You'll lead every aspect of our Service Department, including:

  • Creating an exceptional experience for every customer
  • Leading, coaching and developing our service advisors, technicians and support staff
  • Driving department performance, profitability and productivity
  • Managing shop capacity, workflow and scheduling
  • Building a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Growing our established commercial truck and fleet service business throughout the region
  • Working closely with our Parts, Sales and Leadership teams to deliver a seamless, friction-free & memorable customer experience
  • Maintaining manufacturer standards, warranty administration, safety and compliance
  • Using performance data to identify opportunities and implement meaningful improvements

The Person We're Looking For

You'll probably recognize yourself in many of these:

  • You naturally lead people rather than simply supervise them.
  • You have a great energy that inspires & empowers the people around you
  • You enjoy helping others grow and succeed.
  • You know how to balance customer satisfaction with business performance.
  • You stay calm when things get busy and make great decisions under pressure.
  • You communicate honestly, directly and respectfully.
  • You are never satisfied with "good enough."
  • You are kind, fair but firm.
  • You believe culture isn't something you talk about—it's something you create every day.

Experience we're looking for:

  • Previous dealership Service Manager or senior fixed operations experience leading a large team
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong financial and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ford and PBS experience would be an advantage

Why Cambridge Ford?

We're independently owned, forward-looking and committed to continuous improvement.

We invest in our people, our facility and our customers because we know that great businesses are built by great teams.

We have a strong track record of supporting the wonderful community that has supported us for over 46 awesome years!

If you're looking for an environment where your ideas matter, your leadership makes a difference and your success is recognized, you'll find that opportunity here.
