Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence in QA Strategy Implementation: Implement and refine quality assurance strategies as devised in collaboration with the Product Development Manager (PDM) for your engagement(s). Focus on translating strategic visions into actionable plans that enhance testing efficiency and product quality across projects.
- Test Management and Execution Leadership: Manage the design, development, and execution of comprehensive testing frameworks that align with the Architect's technology and quality standards. Ensure projects are executed with precision, adhering to established timelines and resource allocations.
- Automation Strategy Execution: Lead the practical application and optimization of automation frameworks in line with the Architect’s overarching technology roadmap. Drive the adoption of advanced automation tools and practices that enhance testing processes and product quality.
- Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Act as a pivotal liaison between the QA team and other departments, ensuring seamless integration of QA processes with development and product management workflows. Collaborate with the Architect to ensure QA strategies support organizational goals and product innovation.
- Quality Culture and Team Development: Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the QA team, aligning with the Architect’s vision for excellence. Mentor team members, enhancing their skills and leadership capabilities to meet evolving QA challenges.
- Process Improvement and QA Innovation: Identify and lead initiatives to improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies under the guidance of the Architect. Encourage innovation within the team, staying informed of industry trends and technologies that can elevate quality assurance practices.
- Industry Trends and Best Practices: Maintain a deep understanding of current and emerging QA technologies and methodologies. Share insights with the team and the Architect, ensuring the QA strategy remains at the cutting edge and drives competitive advantage.
- Strategic Support in Project Planning: Provide expert QA guidance in project planning and execution, aligning quality assurance methods with project goals and the broader technological framework established by the Architect. Ensure quality is integrated at every stage of the product development lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s or advanced degree preferred. Equivalent practical experience considered.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the IT field, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of testing strategies, methodologies, and automation in complex software development environments.
- 4+ years of leadership experience in QA roles, with a proven track record of managing high-performing QA teams and leading large-scale testing initiatives.
- Expertise in QA automation frameworks and tools (Playwright, Selenium, TestComplete or equivalent), with a strong command of programming languages relevant to automation (Python, Java, C#).
- Comfortable with AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor or equivalent).
- Advanced project management skills, with a history of successfully managing projects from conception to delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
- Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management and collaboration, with the ability to influence decisions and drive QA strategies across functions within 3Pillar and with external partners.
- Solid experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and DevOps methodologies, enhancing QA processes and productivity.
- Strong business acumen, with an understanding of industry trends, standards, and the competitive landscape, leveraging this insight to inform strategic QA decisions.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a systematic approach to tackling complex issues and the initiative to continuously enhance technical and leadership skills.
- Highly developed communication skills, proficient in engaging with senior management, stakeholders, and external partners to advocate for quality assurance excellence and influence strategic directions.
Additional Experience Desired
- Professional QA certifications (ISTQB Advanced Level, CSTE) or certifications in project management (PMP, Agile/Scrum certifications).
- Deep understanding of and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and testing in cloud-native environments.
- Proven ability in strategic thinking and decision-making, with a forward-looking approach to QA leadership, ensuring alignment with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Outstanding leadership and team development skills, capable of mentoring, coaching, and inspiring a diverse team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging testing tools, methodologies, and best practices, with the ability to implement these to drive efficiency and effectiveness in QA processes.
