Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Fire Protection Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the President with the day-to-day operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and the capacity to manage multiple priorities. The ideal candidate should have experience in fire protection and be organized to manage various tasks effectively. This position is full-time and offers a supportive environment for career growth in the fire protection industry.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Fire Protection Coordinator will encompass a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

  • Review and track incoming inspection reports and sub-contractor quotes.
  • Create and submit quotes for deficiencies based on provided inspection reports.
  • Create and submit quotes for service calls.
  • Review and process invoices from suppliers and subcontractors working closing with AP and AR.
  • Assist with scheduling of inspections with subcontractors and clients.
  • Assist with new construction coordination, material orders, and site instructions.
  • Review sprinkler drawings.
  • Preparation of quotes for service, small contracts, and construction projects.
  • Stay updated on industry codes, standards, and best practices related to fire safety and system design.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during project planning, execution, and review phases.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with industry standards such as NFPA codes, local building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex system designs and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Fire Science or Fire Protection or 3-year diploma in Fire Protection.
  • Knowledge of sprinkler systems is an asset.
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to develop proficiency in other corporate solutions.
  • Advanced communication skills, strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
  • ·Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code Act and regulations are considered an asset.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
