We’re building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world. We need talented, passionate professionals who are dedicated to doing what’s right for our clients.

What you’ll be doing

As a member of the Personal and Business Banking team, you’ll deliver an exceptional client experience to support CIBC’s vision of leadership in client relationships and increased client loyalty. Serving as the first point of contact at a CIBC Kiosk in Costco Warehouses, you’ll proactively engage clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities. You’ll complete sales of Chequing and Savings accounts, and provide high-level information on other products (e.g., mortgages, Investor’s Edge, registered products) within the scope of the agreed product mix with Costco. You’ll refer clients for non-deposit account advice and servicing conversations to the appropriate Banking Centre. You’ll thrive in this role if you are entrepreneurial in nature and comfortable working in a self-managed environment.

At CIBC, we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you will be on-site full-time.

This role is located inside Costco warehouses with extended hours of business and requires rotational shift work Monday to Sunday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM, based on the warehouse hours. You will be required to work on weekends and some statutory holidays. Commuting between nearby Costco Warehouses is required, as the kiosk location changes.

How you’ll succeed

  • Business Development - Proactively engage in discussions with Costco members at a warehouse to understand client’s immediate financial needs while identifying opportunities to address longer term financial goals. Understand the full suite of products available at banking centres in order to identify opportunities during conversations with Costco members and make viable introductions to banking centre based colleagues.

  • Sales and Service Execution - Deliver consistent client service excellence and strong sales results to meet performance targets. Demonstrate service excellence by being visible and accessible to clients at all times and ensuring financial solutions meet client needs. Track, record and update sales activities into the appropriate tool(s) and systems accurately. Process valid transactions, complete all related documentation on time and obtain authorization as required. Maintain and ensure client confidentiality at all times to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Opening or closing the kiosk at the start or end of business hours may be required.

  • Leveraging Technology - Become a technology expert. Promote and demonstrate the use of digital banking options by introducing the client to alternative ways to bank and describe the benefits by assisting the client in using digital options such as Mobile or Online banking.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in a fast-paced sales and service environment, preferably in a financial and client service industry. You can demonstrate well-developed interpersonal and conversation skills to proactively engage clients in a Costco Warehouse.

  • You put our clients first. You engage with purpose to find the right solutions. You go the extra mile because it is the right thing to do.

  • You are goal oriented. You are motivated by accomplishing your goals and delivering your best to make a difference.

  • You are passionate about people. You find meaning in relationships and surround yourself with a diverse network of partners. You connect with others through respect and authenticity.

  • You're digitally savvy. You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends.

  • You love to learn. You are passionate about growing your knowledge. You have a strong sense of curiosity.

  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
