We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong expertise in accounting software and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into company performance.
  • Oversee account reconciliation and account analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Utilize accounting softwares to streamline financial processes.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and facilitate the preparation of audit documentation.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting processes to support strategic planning.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • CPA, CMA or CGA designation required from BC
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Accounting, payroll and benefits
  • Prior Controller experience is required
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks and other accounting platforms.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, accounts payable/receivable management, payroll processing, and account reconciliation.
  • Experience with account analysis and budgeting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.

Pay: $120,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
