Full job description

We are seeking a project engineer/technologist with a civil background for upcoming projects in the 2026 construction season.

3-5 years+ construction experience required

Typical duties would include surveying with a GPS and builder's level, reading and interrupting drawings, consulting with clients on-site, advising foreperson of daily and weekly scope of work, on-site quality control, reporting back to project manager, quantity take-offs, requesting quotations from suppliers and cost evaluations, maintaining and enforcing safety culture on the worksite, conducting toolbox talks, hazard assessments and safety inspections.

Typical work week is Monday - Friday 55 hours a week, or as construction schedule dictates. Work is located on the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland.

Valid drivers license is a requirement.

Safety training such as Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, First Aid, Powerline Hazards, Trenching, Traffic Control Persons Level 2, and OH&S Committee would be an asset.

Minimum education requirements would be a diploma in an Engineering Technology program.
