Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing the end-to-end delivery and technical strategy for mobile and web applications, ensuring architectural alignment across.
  • Experience in software development workflows, including code review and automated testing.
  • Experience defining and tracking quality metrics for automated systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience defining project scope, managing multiple stakeholders, and successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience with software development project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities and ambiguity within a fast-paced team environment.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. Canada: $170000 - $175000 (CAD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Own and guide high-impact infrastructure projects from requirements through launch, including defining requirements, identifying dependencies, managing project schedules, and performing risk management.
  • Identify trends and themes among project and team issues, and drive root-cause analysis with the development, product, and UX teams.
  • Address the challenges of scope creep, shifting priorities, and delayed timelines while maintaining a clear focus on delivering results. Work with developers and leadership to distill complex technical concepts into actionable steps.
  • Help bridge the gap between technical teams and executive leadership by showcasing the impact of infrastructure work. Lead efforts to quantify and communicate the value of ongoing projects, helping secure buy-in, alignment on direction and visibility.
  • Communicate with and build relationships across the core team and partner teams.
