CANA Farms Inc – Farm Operations Assistant

CANA Farms Inc is seeking a full-time team member to join our farm. The successful candidate will be English speaking and have the ability to work in Canada. The candidate may be required to pass a criminal record check and needs to hold a driver’s license. Special consideration for those with a Class 1A license but not a limitation.

Additional skills that would be an asset include:

  • Knowledge of a large-scale grain farm
  • Understanding of Western Canadian agriculture field crop production
  • Experience running large equipment – farm, construction or other (Tractor, Combine, High Clearance Sprayer, Highway Tractor)
  • Basic Mechanical Knowledge
  • Ability to run basic GPS software or the ability to learn farm machinery software
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment but have the ability to work independently on your own for lengths of time.
  • Strong Communication Skills – ask questions, clarify, take direction, offer feedback
  • Flexibility and understanding to accommodate weather based farm operations

We offer a competitive wage and benefits; a fun, team-based environment with a good balance of work and play. We run updated equipment – no junk, and have a large, heated shop to do repairs in during winter months. We have a first-class grain handling system complete with a large grain dryer and multiple bin set-up. We are willing to offer on the job training for the right candidate and can aid in housing should that be required.

Pay: $27.00-$45.00 per hour
