PRODUCTION OPERATOR, Full-time

Location: 65 Limestone Rd E, Brandon, MB R7A 7L5 (in person)

About Western Asphalt:

Western Asphalt Products entered the liquid asphalt industry in 2012 in Brandon, Manitoba. A year later opening up in Bruderheim, Alberta in 2013 to supply Western Canada and Northern United States with liquid asphalt products.

Since then, our terminals have grown, adding 50 railcar siding and asphalt cement storage.

Western Asphalt is family owned and operated with roots going back to 1946. It is a team atmosphere and a great place to work with a great group of people. A good sense of humour is an asset.

Position Summary:

Western Asphalt Products is currently seeking an Production Operator to assist in plant operations. This position will be located at Western Asphalt Brandon, Manitoba Terminal and is a full time position.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Primarily responsible for production of liquid asphalt emulsions
  • Production of other specialty products as required
  • Safe and accurate blending and management of raw materials
  • General maintenance and cleaning of equipment
  • Intermittent operation of truck scale
  • Collection of product samples for testing and retention purposes
  • Loading and unloading of bulk tanker trucks
  • Management of inventory
  • Operation of Loader/Forklift

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong attention to details
  • Strong math skills
  • Industrial experience an asset
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and identify potential issues
  • Equipment operating experience an asset
  • Ability to identify and complete tasks independently
  • Other responsibilities as necessary
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak customer demand including weekends when required.

Compensation:
