Full job description

SILVERBACK TREEWORKS LTD

Now Hiring: Office Manager, Client Experience

About the Role

Since 2007, Silverback Treeworks has cared for the trees that shape our communities across Greater Vancouver and the Sea to Sky corridor. We're a locally owned team of ISA-certified arborists who take pride in doing things right, and we're looking for an Office Manager to help us keep that promise to our clients and our crews.

This isn't a role where you'll get lost in a big corporate structure. You'll keep the office side of the business running smoothly: the face of our company for clients and visitors, and the go-to person our crews rely on to keep things moving across our Squamish, North Vancouver, and Burnaby yards.

If you want a role with real ownership, enjoy staying organized in a fast-moving environment, and would rather be part of a tight-knit, outdoors-minded team than sit in a cubicle all day, this is worth a look.

What a Day Looks Like

No two days are the same, but here's a sense of what you'd be doing:

● Answer phones, emails, and online inquiries, and book consultations, quotes, and jobs for clients across all three yards

● Greet a client walking in for a quote, or a supplier dropping off gear, and make sure they leave with a good impression of Silverback

● Adjust the day's crew schedule with arborists and yard leads when a job runs long, weather shifts, or equipment needs change

● Place an order for PPE, fuel, uniforms, or other supplies before the yard runs low, and manage the vendor relationships behind them

● Process an invoice or purchase order and check in with our bookkeeper on day-to-day financial admin

● Help onboard a new hire, update an employee file, or answer a question about office procedure

● Plan an upcoming company event or team meeting, or sort out travel details for someone on the team

● Build or tweak the systems and procedures that keep three separate yards running like one team, not three

Qualifications

● Demonstrated customer service excellence: professional, personable, and calm under pressure

● Strong logistical and organizational skills are a big asset. You naturally keep things on track and stay one step ahead, especially when priorities shift

● 3+ years in office management, administration, or a hospitality/service-oriented role

● Strong communication and time-management skills

● Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace)

● Discretion with confidential information and a genuine desire to help others

Why Join Silverback Treeworks

● Join a business with real staying power: locally owned and serving this community since 2007, not a startup betting on next quarter

● Be part of an outstanding, tight-knit team that trusts you to run the office your way and has your back when things get busy

● Take ownership of a role with genuine variety, where your organization keeps a skilled crew of arborists doing their best work

● Work somewhere that feels like a crew, not a corporation, with an outdoors-minded, down-to-earth culture

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
