Purchasing & Production Scheduler
Fibertec Windows & Doors – North York, ON

Fibertec Windows & Doors is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Purchasing & Production Scheduler to join our growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing, production scheduling, inventory management, and supplier coordination within the windows and doors or manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule production to meet customer delivery deadlines.
  • Purchase raw materials, hardware, and components required for production.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure material availability.
  • Work closely with the production, sales, and warehouse teams to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Track purchase orders and monitor supplier deliveries to ensure on-time receipt of materials.
  • Resolve material shortages, supplier issues, and production scheduling conflicts.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and production records.
  • Ensure a consistent flow of materials to prevent production delays.
  • Prepare daily and weekly production schedules, purchasing reports, and order completion reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and production planning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing and production scheduling within the windows and doors industry or a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and inventory control is an asset.
