PJC Lawn & Snow Inc. — Montreal West Island

PJC Lawn & Snow is looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined person who enjoys variety: maintaining and repairing equipment, mowing lawns, helping with landscaping, and operating snow removal equipment.

This is a hands-on role combining equipment maintenance with outdoor fieldwork. We need someone who can troubleshoot problems, take care of our machinery, and step in with the crew when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on trucks, trailers, tractors, mowers, and landscaping equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and complete repairs within your abilities.
  • Check engine and hydraulic oil, grease equipment, inspect belts and hoses, and identify worn or damaged parts.
  • Keep track of maintenance needs and report issues requiring outside service.
  • Prepare and test equipment before upcoming jobs.
  • Work with our lawn mowing and landscaping crews.
  • Operate snow removal equipment during winter.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong mechanical ability and practical experience maintaining and repairing equipment.
  • Comfortable working with tools and troubleshooting problems independently.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and perform physical work.
  • Reliable, punctual, and attentive to safety.
  • Valid driver’s licence and a responsible driving record.
  • Availability for early mornings, overnight work, and changing hours during snow events.
  • Experience with tractors, commercial mowers, small engines, hydraulics, or snow removal equipment is an asset.

Schedule: Depending on the season obviously. Salary for winter due to inconsistent schedule.

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
