Full job description

BlueFrog is a boutique environmental consulting firm located in Oakville, ON. We are seasoned geoscientists, engineers, and environmental scientists, serving a wide variety of Blue Chip clients in the petroleum, legal, insurance, and commercial sectors. We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our team.

WORK LOCATION: HYBRID- Office/ Client Work Sites/ Work from Home

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience. Health Benefits, Bonus Plan.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager works collaboratively with team members and clients to coordinate and execute a variety of projects that primarily involve geotechnical, hydrogeological, and environmental site assessments. The successful candidate will work independently as well as with contractors performing sampling, monitoring and site investigations, principally at active and vacant industrial properties, as well as on public infrastructure properties.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all aspects of multi-disciplinary projects, including on-site project resources, teams, and tasks
  • Managing client relationships and expectations throughout the lifecycle of projects
  • Ensuring project timelines are met safely, on-time, and within budget
  • Reviewing scopes of work, proposals and reports
  • Mentoring and supporting junior and technical field staff
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of existing and emerging regulatory requirements and industry best-practices
  • Participating in developing and/or presenting and attending conferences to further advance your expertise and to continue to elevate BlueFrog’s name recognition in the industry

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in environmental or geotechnical engineering
  • P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation would be considered an asset
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in the environmental consulting sector
  • Experience completing and/or supporting geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations
  • Expert working knowledge of applicable Ontario Regulations and Standards
  • Experience executing and overseeing Phase I and II environmental site assessments (ESAs) and O.Reg. 153/04 compliant Phase One and Two ESAs
  • Experience executing O.Reg. 406/19 Excess Soil Management projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Creative mindset and problem solving skills
  • Strong client service attitude, responsiveness and sense of urgency
  • Valid driver’s license
