Position: Project Coordinator

Element Elevators Inc. specializes in elevator maintenance, modernization, and repair across the Greater Toronto Area. As an innovative and rapidly growing company, we are committed to delivering high-quality service and elevating the everyday experiences of our clients. We are looking to expand our team with a motivated individual who is eager to start a rewarding career in a highly specialized industry, working under the mentorship of two Professional Engineers.

Position Overview:

This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Project Management from an accredited university. You will work under the guidance of our modernization department, gaining hands-on experience in managing and supporting elevator modernization projects. Prior experience is preferred but not required; instead, we seek someone with a strong foundation in their field, a commitment to excellence, and a willingness to learn.

Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor modernization crew progress to ensure work is completed in accordance with contract requirements, project schedules, and Element's performance targets.
  • Organize and coordinate subcontractor activities and work performed by other trades, including electrical, fire safety, emergency power, security, cutting and patching, and other related services.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients by providing project updates and addressing site-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate material and equipment deliveries with clients and suppliers to support project schedules.
  • Schedule and coordinate TSSA inspections and ensure all required documentation is prepared.
  • Prepare and maintain project site binders containing all required project documentation.
  • Compile and prepare project close-out documentation packages upon project completion.
  • Provide regular project updates and report directly to the Modernization Supervisor and Modernization Project Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar), Computer Science, or Project Management from an accredited university.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in both Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting software is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred, as occasional site visits will be required.
  • EDM-T license is a bonus.

Compensation Package:

  • Base Salary: $25/per hour
  • 6 month contract
  • Evaluation for Permanent Full-time position will be completed nearing the end of the contract term
  • Extended Health & Dental Benefits Package after 3 month probationary period.
  • Paid Time Off: 2 weeks vacation, 5 sick days annually
