Location: Lac La Biche, AB

Temporary/Permanent: December 31, 2028 (with the possibility of extension)

Hours of Work: 35 hours / week, (Mon) to (Fri), (8:30) am-(4:30) pm

Job Summary

EmployAbilities is looking for a Skills Development Trainer supporting the EAN program. The successful candidate will deliver engaging training and skill development programs that help participants build confidence, strengthen workplace skills, and move closer to employment.

What You’ll Do

· Facilitate interactive in-person and virtual training sessions that support employment readiness and workplace success.

· Build participant confidence through coaching, group activities, and individualized learning support.

· Develop and deliver workshops on topics such as workplace communication, mental health, boundaries, disclosure, and job search skills.

What You’ll Bring

· Degree, diploma, or certificate in education, human services, career development, training, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Experience facilitating workshops, training programs, or group learning activities.

· Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, employment barriers, or diverse learning needs.

Needed Skills

· Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups.

· Ability to adapt training and coaching to accommodate different learning styles, abilities, and participant needs.

· Strong organizational and time management skills
