Overview

We are seeking a motivated Construction Helper to join our dynamic construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, dependable, and ready to contribute to building and renovation tasks under the supervision of experienced professionals. Prior construction experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Duties

  • Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
  • Support skilled tradespeople with tasks such as framing, drywall installation, and concrete forming
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision
  • Help with demolition, cleanup, and site maintenance to ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist in installing cabinetry, flooring, tile, or other finishing elements as needed
  • Support with plumbing, electrical, masonry, or welding tasks if trained or experienced
  • Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements (training provided if needed)
  • Aid in the operation of heavy equipment and machinery when qualified and authorized
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times

Skills

  • Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics is advantageous
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment operation
  • Experience in carpentry, concrete finishing, masonry, or related trades is a plus
  • Knowledge of caulking, painting, tile laying, flooring installation, or electrical work is beneficial
  • Ability to interpret construction plans and estimates (training available)
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety procedures
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
