Technical Sales Representative

The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven Technical Sales Representative to grow our presence across BC through new business development, account growth, and solution-based selling.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong relationship-building skills with a technical mindset and enjoys working directly with customers to solve complex industrial challenges. We believe this opportunity will be rewarding for a technical person who is looking to spend more time with people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow an assigned sales territory across British Columbia.
  • Prospect and secure new business opportunities through customer visits, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Build relationships with engineers, maintenance teams, operations leaders, and purchasing professionals.
  • Identify customer challenges and recommend hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, and electro-hydraulic solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical recommendations.
  • Manage an active sales pipeline and achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Collaborate with supplier partners and internal technical resources to develop customer solutions.
  • Maintain CRM records, forecasts, and account plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline preferred. P.Eng. designation or EIT status considered an asset.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, instrumentation, or related industrial technologies.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented.
