Full job description

About Westfield

Westfield Secondary is a boutique private school in North York. Our team is young and creative, dedicated to expanding programs and shaping a campus with spirit and passion, for students, teachers, and staff alike.

The Role

In this role you will coordinate student council, plan spirit weeks, manage the house system, organize pep rallies, run the social media presence, and plan community events.

You will have direct exposure to school leadership, marketing strategy, and brand operations. If you are ambitious and want to be a leader in the building of a school’s culture, this role may be for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Culture & Events: Plan and execute student life initiatives (e.g. spirit weeks, house system competitions, school dances, tournaments, and community-building activities). You set the rhythm of the school year.
  • Student Engagement: Act as the liaison to student council and mentor student leaders. Ensure the student voice is heard and visible.
  • Social Media: Run the school's social media (Instagram primarily). You plan the visual narrative of the school.
  • Marketing: Assist with admissions events, open houses, tours, and parent communications.
  • Operations: Support school-wide coordination where needed.

Why You Should Apply

You’ll be working directly with leadership, exposed to everything from growth strategy to marketing to event ops. It’s the perfect launchpad for your future career. Previous alumni have moved on to graduate programs in an eclectic array of fields and senior management roles.

  • You get an array of opportunities here more diverse than you’ll get anywhere else. Want to run a social media strategy? Want to plan a 200-person event? Want to sit in on leadership strategy meetings? You’ll do all that and more.
  • You are not micro-managed, but rather trusted to execute.
  • You walk away with a portfolio of work (events you built, content you created, systems you designed) that proves you can handle senior responsibility.
