Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Director of Childcare to lead and inspire our early childhood education programs. In this vital role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of high-quality childcare services that foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. Your leadership will ensure that our programs meet all regulatory standards while promoting positive growth and development for every child. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives and support families in our community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership to the childcare team, setting high standards for educational excellence, safety, and caregiving practices
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education principles that promote learning through play and exploration
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety protocols, and organizational policies
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities
  • Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development to maintain a motivated team
  • Build strong relationships with families, providing regular communication about children's progress and program updates
  • Manage daily operations of the childcare facility, including scheduling, resource allocation, and maintaining a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

  • Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or caregiving roles
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with disabilities or special needs
  • Strong background in teaching methodologies suitable for early childhood development
  • Knowledge of licensing requirements and regulations related to childcare services
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
  • Compassionate approach to caregiving combined with excellent communication skills
  • Relevant certifications in early childhood education or related fields are preferred
