Position Title: Skating Services Cashier

Location: Elksentre Arena - 4833 Heather Rd, Prince George, BC V2K 5Y3

Kin 2 Arena - 2181 Ospika Boulevard, Prince George BC V2N6Z1

Kopar Arena - 888 Dominion Street, Prince George, BC V2L 3N9

Terms: Part-Time, Temporary

Hours: 4-24 hours per week

Shift: Shifts vary and include weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Programs run Monday to Sunday.

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: March 28, 2027

Salary: $20.50 per hour

Reports To: Supervisor, Skating Services


Nature & Scope

Our state- of-the-art centres of community offer a range of health, fitness, and aquatics programs for individuals and families.

The Cashier is responsible for handling front desk operations and the rental shop. This includes processing payments, skate rentals and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all patrons


Major Responsibilities
- in this position, you will:

  • Process transactions for skating programs
  • Run the rental shop and skate sharpening services
  • Perform first aid when required
  • Provide excellent customer service to school groups and members of the public, assisting with any questions or concerns
  • Perform opening and closing tasks
  • Complete all checklists, incident reports, and other documentation as required
  • May also be trained as an Ice Attendant, if they have strong skating skills


Qualification
-you bring:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid Standard First Aid with CPR C certificate
  • Previous experience using a CRM system and processing transactions
  • Have access to reliable transportation
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong skating ability
  • Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
