About Klingspor

Klingspor is one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-performance abrasives, cutting-off wheels, grinding discs, and diamond tools. With a reputation built on quality, innovation, and technical expertise, Klingspor serves industrial, manufacturing, metalworking, construction, and fabrication markets around the globe.

From our Canadian headquarters in Stoney Creek, Ontario, we support a nationwide network of distributors and end users with premium solutions that deliver measurable performance and value.

The Opportunity

Klingspor Canada is seeking an experienced Territory Manager to drive growth throughout British Columbia's Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island markets.

This is a senior-level outside sales role designed for a proven industrial sales professional with a strong track record of business development, distributor management, and end-user engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding market share, developing strategic customer relationships, and identifying new opportunities across manufacturing, metal fabrication, industrial distribution, construction, and related sectors.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who operates with a high degree of autonomy, understands the industrial sales process, and has the ability to influence decision-makers at every level of an organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan focused on revenue, market share, and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial distributors, key accounts, and end users throughout the territory.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market development activities.
  • Conduct joint sales calls with distributor partners to drive product adoption and increase sales penetration.
  • Provide technical product demonstrations and application-based recommendations to customers.
  • Work closely with purchasing managers, operations leaders, plant managers, production supervisors, and business owners to understand customer needs and deliver value-added solutions.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing, programs, and commercial agreements while maintaining profitability objectives.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, and customer information within CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer support and territory execution.
  • Represent Klingspor at industry events, trade shows, and customer functions as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of successful outside sales experience within industrial, manufacturing, construction, welding, metalworking, MRO, safety, tools, abrasives, or related markets.
  • Proven experience selling through industrial distribution channels while also developing direct relationships with end users.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets and territory growth objectives.
  • Strong business development skills with a history of opening new accounts and expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders ranging from shop-floor personnel to senior management and ownership groups.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing a large geographic territory independently.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales reporting tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling abrasives, cutting tools, industrial consumables, welding products, MRO supplies, or other technical industrial products.
  • Established relationships within the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island industrial markets.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand customer applications and manufacturing processes.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.

What Sets You Apart

  • You are driven by business development and excel at building lasting relationships with customers and distribution partners.
  • You are comfortable working independently and managing your territory like a business.
  • You possess the credibility and professionalism to work with distributors, plant managers, and business owners.
  • You are highly competitive, results-driven, and motivated by performance.
  • You understand how to create long-term value rather than simply transact products.

Why Join Klingspor?

  • Represent a globally recognized premium industrial brand.
  • Manage an established territory with significant growth potential.
  • Competitive compensation package including base salary, performance incentives, vehicle allowance, and benefits.
  • High degree of autonomy and entrepreneurial responsibility.
  • Long-term career opportunity with an industry leader committed to growth and innovation.
