bout the role

We're a multi-entity wholesale distribution business running NetSuite OneWorld across three subsidiaries. We already have a NetSuite admin and a senior NetSuite specialist on the team. We're now adding a developer to own the scripting, integration, and customization side of the platform.

Our NetSuite account has years of accumulated history — hundreds of existing scripts, custom records, workflows, and integrations built by prior developers. You won't be starting from scratch. The first thing we'll ask you to do is read carefully and understand what's already in place before making changes. We think that approach saves a lot of pain down the road.

What you'll work on

  • SuiteScript 2.x development across all script types (User Event, Client, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, RESTlet)
  • OneWorld and multi-subsidiary workflows, including intercompany POs/SOs, consolidated reporting, and subsidiary-specific item availability
  • Integration work using Celigo, Boomi, EDI, and e-commerce connectors
  • Item fulfillment, inventory management, drop-ship, special order, and landed cost workflows
  • SuiteAnalytics Workbook, saved searches, and custom dashboards
  • Code review, refactoring, and ongoing documentation of the existing script library

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite development as a primary role
  • Strong SuiteScript 2.x experience across all script types
  • Solid understanding of governance limits and how to manage them
  • Real production experience with OneWorld and multi-subsidiary environments
  • Integration experience with Celigo or Boomi
  • Current SuiteCloud Developer I certification (renewed within the last 2 years)
  • Strong JavaScript fundamentals
  • Comfort with SuiteAnalytics Workbook and SQL-style query writing

  • Strong communication. Same-day replies during your working hours and proactive updates on what you're working on.
  • Clean, maintainable code. Readable, commented, and predictable — the kind of code the next developer will thank you for.
  • Sandbox-first discipline. Production changes only after testing.
  • Team-oriented mindset. You'll work closely with our admin, our NetSuite specialist, and another developer. Collaboration matters here.
