Ontario base Diabetes Pump Start-Up Educator / Remote full time position

We are seeking a knowledgeable, compassionate and motivated individual to provide education, training and ongoing support to people living with Type 1 diabetes who are transitioning to insulin pump therapy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform pump start-ups in accordance with organizational standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in diabetes management, with a strong focus on use of technology.
  • Ability to communicate complex medical information in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to connect with diverse customer groups.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory effectively.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, nutrition or dietetics.
  • Membership of the College of Nurses of Ontario or College of Dietitians of Ontario.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a diabetes clinic working with people with type 1 diabetes.
  • Certified diabetes educator certification preferred.
