WHO WE ARE

Merkle ME is a performance marketing agency based in Edmonton, serving mid-market and enterprise clients across Canada. We specialize in paid media, SEO, email automation, and content strategy. We are not a "post anything" agency. We are data-informed, creative, and obsessed with ROI. We need a Content Creator / Digital Media Specialist who can write, shoot, edit, and publish content that actually converts.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Content Creation (50%)

  • Write blog posts, case studies, email sequences, and website copy for clients
  • Create short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) for social media
  • Design basic graphics using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Capture and edit photos for client campaigns and internal use

Social Media Management (25%)

  • Schedule and publish content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Engage with followers and respond to comments/DMs
  • Track social media metrics (reach, engagement, click-through rates)

Content Strategy (15%)

  • Brainstorm content calendars aligned with client goals and seasonal trends
  • Research keywords and topics for SEO-optimized blog posts
  • Repurpose long-form content into smaller assets (email snippets, social posts, infographics)

Administrative (10%)

  • Maintain content libraries and asset folders
  • Coordinate with designers, strategists, and account managers on deadlines

WHAT YOU BRING

Required:

  • 2-4 years of content creation or digital media experience (agency or in-house)
  • Strong writing skills (you can explain complex topics in plain English)
  • Proficiency with video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Rush, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve)
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools (Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite)
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva is acceptable; Adobe Suite is a plus)
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals (keywords, meta descriptions, internal linking)
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Reliable high-speed internet for remote work days
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada
  • Reside in or within commuting distance of Edmonton, AB

Nice to have but not required:

  • Experience with paid social media advertising (Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot)
  • Photography skills (product shots, headshots, event coverage)
  • Bilingual (English/French)
