Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lab Supervisor to lead analytical laboratory operations within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. The successful candidate will oversee laboratory testing, support method development and validation activities, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and mentor laboratory staff while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

This position is ideal for a hands-on analytical professional with strong leadership experience and extensive knowledge of GMP quality systems.

Duties

  • Supervise daily laboratory operations, including sample receipt, processing, testing, documentation, and reporting.
  • Lead and mentor laboratory staff by providing technical guidance, training, and performance support while promoting safe laboratory practices.
  • Perform and oversee analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples using validated analytical methods and laboratory instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, Karl Fischer).
  • Analyze and review laboratory data to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with quality standards, GMP requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Support analytical method development, validation, method transfers, and laboratory investigations, including out-of-specification (OOS) results, deviations, and non-conformances.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment through routine calibration, qualification, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination of servicing as required.
  • Develop, review, and maintain laboratory documentation, including SOPs, analytical methods, protocols, and validation records.
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits and inspections by maintaining inspection-ready laboratory documentation and practices.
  • Prepare and communicate laboratory reports, testing results, trends, and recommendations to support quality and operational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 7–10 years of experience in a GMP-regulated analytical or quality control laboratory.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience highly preferred.

Skills

  • Proven experience in a laboratory setting with strong analysis skills
  • Expertise in data collection methods and statistical analysis techniques
  • Laboratory experience with familiarity in standard lab equipment and safety procedures
  • Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong leadership qualities to supervise staff effectively and foster teamwork
  • Effective communication skills for reporting findings and coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and implement solutions promptly

This position offers an engaging opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead laboratory operations while contributing to innovative projects. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to accuracy, safety, and continuous learning within a dynamic research environment.
