Full job description

Fair Isle Ford Lincoln is looking for an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our Charlottetown Service Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong automotive leader who is looking to take ownership of a busy Service operation, develop a high-performing team, improve processes, and contribute to the overall success of the dealership.

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the Service Department, including customer experience, profitability, workflow, employee development, and operational efficiency.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, organized, accountable, and comfortable leading people. The successful candidate will have the ability to build strong relationships with technicians, advisors, parts, sales, and dealership leadership while maintaining a clear focus on results.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead, coach, and develop the Service Department team.

· Oversee the daily operation and workflow of the Service Department.

· Monitor and improve Service Department profitability and financial performance.

· Maintain strong control of Work in Progress (WIP), including open Repair Orders and average Repair Order age.

· Ensure customers receive a consistently excellent Service experience.

· Monitor and improve Customer Experience and Lincoln Commitment Program performance.

· Work closely with Service Advisors and Technicians to maximize productivity, efficiency, and quality.

· Ensure warranty and internal processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

· Establish clear expectations and hold the team accountable for performance.

· Review departmental KPIs and financial results regularly and take action where required.

· Work collaboratively with Parts, Sales, and other dealership departments.

· Maintain a safe, professional, and positive work environment.

· Ensure compliance with manufacturer, dealership, and company policies and procedures.

· Participate as a member of the dealership's management team and contribute to broader dealership initiatives.

· Previous experience in an automotive Service Management or Fixed Operations leadership role.

· Strong understanding of dealership Service Department operations and financials.

· Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Comfortable working with KPIs, financial statements, and departmental performance metrics.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

· Experience with dealership management systems and automotive technology is an asset.

· A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
