Rate: $32.54 to $35.39 per hour, varying by position.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent Position

Schedule: 7-days on, 7-days off rotation with 12-hour workdays

Duties & Responsibilities

Haul Truck Trainee:

• Operate rigid-frame haul trucks to transport overburden, waste rock, and coal from the mine, and perform other tasks as required.
• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform pre-trip checks and complete FLHA's on a regular basis.
• Ensure adherence to Conuma's workplace policies and standard operating procedures.
• Identify and report risks, near misses and incidents with the goal of supporting and developing Conuma’s excellent safety standards.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Steam Bay Attendant:

• Wash mobile equipment in the steam bay to prepare for maintenance and repairs.
• Operate steam truck to wash mobile equipment to prepare for work performed in the field.
• Assist with shop and facility clean up and maintenance.
• Maintain and caring for steam bay tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Complete duties in a safe and efficient manner, and complete FLHA's on a regular basis.
• Ensure adherence to Conuma's workplace policies and standard operating procedures.
• Identify and report risks, near misses and incidents with the goal of supporting and developing Conuma’s excellent safety standards.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Labourer:

• Perform process plant clean up and maintain the cleanliness of the plant and equipment to a high standard.
• Scrape and shovel material from under and around conveyor belts.
• Ensure adherence to Conuma's workplace policies and standard operating procedures.
• Identify and report risks, near misses and incidents with the goal of supporting and developing Conuma’s excellent safety standards.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

• Some high school, college or industry courses in heavy equipment operating combined with on-the-job training, or equivalent experience.
• Valid Driver's License

Technical Competencies & Skills

• Must be able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Physically fit with the ability to perform physical labour often at heights.
• Proven safety and attendance record.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, trainees, and leadership.
• Previous heavy equipment operations, labourer or industrial experience is considered an asset.
• First Aid/Mine Rescue Training is considered an asset.
